It is an image from 28 September 2011th A very special night. There was fog in the air. and much of northern lights. It gives a very special atmosphere in the picture. A fresh Arctic night.

Aurora Borealis - a great day/night 22-23 january 2012!

Το τελευταίο 24ωρο φαίνεται πως ήταν ένα από τα πολύ θεαματικά στον βορρά του βόρειου ημισφαιρίου! Ευχόμαστε στους βόρειους φίλους μας να είναι έτσι όλη η χρονιά και να μας γεμίζουν υπέροχες φωτογραφίες από τα φώτα του βορρά (βόρειο σέλας)! Τους ευχαριστούμε πολύ για τις υπέροχες αναρτήσεις στο facebook group μας!

The last 24 hours seem to be of the most spectacular in the north of the northern hemisphere! We wish our northern friends clear and colourful skies throughout the year to fill us with great pics of the northern lights! Thanks so much for the spectacular posts on our facebook group!

AURORA over Norway - Last night's Northern Lights

Χθες βράδυ στη Βόρεια Ευρώπη ήταν μια πολύχρωμη νύχτα! Μια γερή γεωμαγνητική καταιγίδα έφτιαξε εικόνες Βόρειου Σέλαος όπως αυτές!

Last night a great geomagnetic storm triggered beautiful Auroras over north Europe! Our facebook friend Asle Hjellbrekke posted some amazing pictures, like these!
He wrote
"Last night between 21.00 and 02.00 local time the Aurora Borealis performed a magical show at the Mosjøen lake which is only a 5 minutes drive away from home.
All these 4 photos were taken with Nikon D3S, Nikon 14-24mm/2.8 @ 2.8, mostly on ISO 800."

I remember walking one night with a couple of friends for at least a couple of hours. Eventually we reached a clearing. I need to get back to that clearing because it was quite the vista and my shots didn't work out. This one did. I looked up for a whole 20 seconds and the northern lights ripped upon the night sky, cascading a tremendously fast burst of green light that faded out again in less than 30 seconds.
